Digital Twin - 3D city model

Why a Digital Twin?

Digital twins can be used effectively for various applications, including urban planning and development, infrastructure management, crisis management, and improving citizen services. Digital twins are used to digitally replicate the physical and operational aspects of cities and municipal assets, giving policymakers a better understanding of the urban environment and enabling them to make more data-driven decisions. Specific applications include modeling traffic flows, managing water and energy infrastructure, optimizing waste management, and planning urban development projects.

What makes GeoSignum Unique?

  • We offer the most complete 3D city model, including houses, trees, street furniture, curbs, and much more.

  • Speed: we can create a complete Digital Twin for a small city in one month, depending on your requirements.

  • All objects can be modeled in 3D as a true representation of the object.

Different price ranges

We offer several options for every budget, ranging from using a library model to creating a model that accurately represents the actual object. For building modeling, we typically use LOD 2.2, but we can go up to LOD 3.3, which makes a significant difference in cost.

What data is used?

We use various data sources, including GeoSignum LiDAR, which serves as the basis for the Digital Twin. An overview of possible data sources:

  • LiDAR (mobile and airborne)

  • BAG

  • BGT site section

  • BOR

  • Aerial photograph (ortho/oblique)

  • 360° panorama

Delivery format

You can use the Digital Twin in your preferred software or in the GeoSignum Pointer web platform. Within Pointer, you can view the 3D city model combined with LiDAR and run queries based on attribute information.
