1. Inventories and Mutation Detection
Using LiDAR point clouds, we map the entire outdoor area in detail. This provides an accurate and up-to-date overview of your management area. By comparing the shapefiles you provide with the LiDAR point clouds, we identify any changes. You will receive a detailed overview of all changes that have occurred.
2. Classification of Point Clouds
You're probably familiar with the built-in classifications in AHN point clouds. GeoSignum can also add classifications to your own point clouds for you.
Provide us with your point cloud and the desired classification specifications. We will process these carefully according to the official ASPRS (American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) standard, where possible. This ensures consistent and accurate data, classified according to the highest standards.

Examples of completed projects
Inventory of dormer windows
GeoSignum has years of experience detecting dormer windows using LiDAR. The retrieved dormer windows can be used, among other things, to more accurately determine property valuations (WOZ) or to create a more detailed digital twin.
The dormers are delivered together in a separate LAZ file and integrated into the point cloud as a classification. It is also possible to provide a 2D or 3D polygon of the dormer.

Inventory of road markings
By combining LiDAR and panoramas, we accurately map road markings. Besides providing a shapefile (point, line, or polygon) containing the road markings, we can also expand the project with additional information about the markings, such as color, surface, and material. In the Netherlands, we have already mapped thousands of kilometers of road this way.

Inventory of street furniture
Is the street furniture recorded in the management system still up to date? To easily determine this, you can perform an inventory using Mobile LiDAR. LiDAR makes it quick to locate objects and easily captures their precise x,y location. We then perform a change detection using the existing file.

Mutation detection BAG buildings
LiDAR makes it easy to perform change detection of (BAG) buildings. Detect the buildings in the LiDAR and then compare them with the existing building shapefile. This provides a clear overview of what is new, removed, or modified.
In consultation with the customer, it is determined in advance how these changes will be made visible.

LiDAR can not only be used to inventory trees, but also to provide additional information. Consider:

Inventory of sills, wells and drains.
Mobile LiDAR is an effective tool for surveying sills, manholes, and gullies. Clients are often also interested in the z-height of these locations. A point cloud optimized for the z-height is essential for this. With this point cloud, you can obtain the z-height of all manholes, manholes, and sills within a few days.
